| Twenty-two state government
agencies and eight federal agencies within Ohio have
responsibilities related to the environment or environmental
education (EE). These agencies make up the Ohio
Interagency Council on Environmental Education (OICEE),
established as part of the implementation of Ohio
EE 2000: A Strategic Plan for Environmental Education
in Ohio.
• Improved communication on EE related issues between
government agencies
• Better coordinated and better promoted EE programming
• More efficient response to customer needs for
EE related information, programs, and
services
• Support for EE related agency missions and interagency
collaboration
